Cynthia Ramos is a single mother of 2 who started a roofing company out of necessity. She needed the flexibility of being able to work when she wanted and being self employed. Cynthia manages to balance her life with her work by sub-contracting out nearly all aspects of the business – including accounting, sales, estimates, and fulfillment.
Just kidding – that bio is BORING. But seriously, I enjoy my job. I wouldn’t give up the life I have for anything else in the world. I can work whenever I want, I can do what I want, and most importantly, I can spend time with my kids. My family means the world to me and I wouldn’t do anything without them.
The purpose of the blog is to help people learn what took me years to learn. It is for roofers to learn how to manage their business. It is for homeowners to learn about the roofing industry. The purpose is to INFORM. We want all of our readers to feel like they have a good understanding of the roofing industry. With so many different options out there, it can be hard to know who is forreal and who is full of it. The roofing industry is tough and you want to make sure you are going with a reputable company. You want to make sure you are going with somebody who is not going to rip you off.
On the other hand, there are the roofers. Many roofers (and all entrepreneurs) struggle running their business. It is easy to get caught up working and doing jobs that you never get to actually work at growing your business because you are stuck working in your business. This is what I learned over many years. I stick to what I am good at and I outsource my shortcomings. I am honest with myself about what I am good and bad at so that I can be of maximum help to others and my customers. I have been very successful and am currently running a 6 figure roofing company. As mentioned before, it is almost fully outsourced and I spend a maximum of 10 hours a week working. I get the freedom both financially and in my lifestyle.
